This craft is so easy, it may just be my shortest post yet!
With Valentines day looming (yes, looming, folks! It’s only 12 days away!), I was wondering what craft I could do this year that both my littlest beast AND biggy could do together. With a baby in the mix, it had to be easy, no fuss, and yet still carry the loved-up theme.
Enter the humble toilet roll!! Finally (!), I figured out something else to make other than the usual trumpet or binoculars.

All you need:

All you need. I had all of this in my house, so cost was zilsch for me personally.

    1. One or more toilet rolls
    2. Paper/cardboard (for stamping)
    3. Red finger paint/ red food coloring (or whatever colour you’d prefer, Im just going with Valentines day colours here)
    4. Old t-shirt/ full apron (’cause you know its going to get messy up in here)
    5. And one or more eager little artist/messer/paint squisher and spreader
Eager artist, or friendly pirate in the mood for crafts will do.

Cant pose, mum, got stamping to do...keep up!

Then, simply bend the toilet roll so that it looks like a heart.

Bend it like Beckham...or like this heart over here.

Dip it in the paint/colour, and let your little arist stamp away.

She was sooo engrossed in this, and was stamping away...Then she started showing off, by doing two at the same time...Oh, Parker-Grace, you dont suck at all :)

She looked good doing it, stamping like a pirate...till it got in her way....But that pirate sure cleans up real nice! *swooning sigh*

And there you go….that simple!
Which reaaaally works for me, because after Christmas, stick a fork in me, Im pretty much done! (Yes, Im still recovering. Sad, I know. Or maybe my christmas was just THAT bad ass!) 😉

The lazer-like focus needed, will make you squash your lips!

This could used as a card for Grandparents or school teacher, or to make heart-themed wrapping paper, or we’re-doing-this-just-because. Whatever, floats your boat.
Taadaa! Thats it, folks: Your quick and easy V-day craft that can be multipurpose in use. Its simple, but I promise you, your kids will enjoy it!

I would love to see what your little one’s works of art looked like in the end. Why not share them on my Facebook page over here! Look forward to checking them out.

Demonstrating why its imperative that you use NON-TOXIC finger pant, or just food coloring instead: Because they WILL taste test, no matter how smart they are.

Mother of two (and counting), pregnant with the third and have a sweet little angel in heaven. A very happy wifey, blogger, lover of life and laughter, a clumsy swimmer, loyal friend, Im funnier in my head than I actually am, I am a qualified HypnoBirthing Child Birth Educator, I get inexplicably excited about good food, baking & crafts. Although, I think baking and crafts are just trying to fill a void that my Kenpo and gym-rat days used to fill. Lastly, according to the rest of the world, I fix your printer. But I'm actually a Software Architect.
