Can you feel it? Halloween is almost here! Whoop whoop! Ok, forgive my excitement, as a South African I probably show more excitement than is understandable. But 1 October is here folks, which means only one thing…OK, its also my gorgeous niece/god child’s birthday….and also my dear friend’s hubby’s birthday….but it also means Halloween season has officially started!
Or at least, in our house it has!
So to kick it off why not try these easy peasy paint crafts we did with the kids? Its not only has a facet of sensory play for them, they also get to be messy just the way they like, they get to create stuff (you wouldn’t believe how much kids take from the creation process), and you moms and dads, get to have a little keepsake to see just how tiny those little hands and feet were at last Halloween! (geezzz, they grow like freakin weeds! I was suprised to see that Parker’s foot is almost the same size as Morgy’s already!) : )
This is seriously easy to do, and you wont need much. I already had the materials around the house, but all you need is:
For Ghost footsies:
-White non-toxic paint
-Black marker/paint (for face)
For Handprint kitty
-Print out of a kitty head. (you can choose a less evil looking kitty like I did- what was I thinking?! Mike alway said it was more of batman cat)
-Black non-toxic paint (or like I used, black food coloring)
-Any colour paper/cardboard that’s not black.
For clean up:
-A bowl of warm soapy water at the ready (to wash off gorgeously ink stained hands and feetsies)
-Towels (to dry off said cute little hands and feet)
There’s not much explaining to do here folks, so I’ll let the pcitures do the talking…err, writing?
